Cybersecurity Researcher · PhD Candidate · Tech Fanatic
I research intrusion detection systems for industrial control systems (SCADA/ICS), combining machine learning with explainable AI to protect critical infrastructure. My PhD at Riga Technical University focuses on building hybrid IDS systems for SCADA networks operating under the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol.
Beyond academia, I co-founded securIT — a cybersecurity company providing 24/7 SOC monitoring, security audits, and phishing training.
I conduct coordinated vulnerability research across industrial protocols and embedded systems. My public work includes reporter credit for CVE-2026-62972 in BACnet Stack and co-discovery of a remotely reachable response-side buffer overflow in the OpENer EtherNet/IP stack.
I lecture on cybersecurity at RTU, serve as Senior Expert at the Latvian Council of Science, and lead IT infrastructure at the Latvian Civil Engineers Association. I also run infigo — a web development studio behind 50+ digital products.
